Aomori Railway will be adding extra trains to coincide with the Aomori Nebuta Festival (August 2–7, nearest station: Aomori Station) held in Aomori City.

In addition to increasing the number of local and rapid trains, primarily on short-distance routes, the railway will once again offer a paid reserved-seating service—guaranteeing a seat—on both Aomori-bound and Hachinohe-bound trains, as it did last year. Furthermore, by selling “Liner Ticketless Boarding Pass” available for online reservation, the railway aims to improve convenience for passengers throughout the service area.

Please be sure to use Aomori Railway’s special trains when traveling to the Aomori Nebuta Festival.
